Theatre ARts - Sixth Grade
In this 9 week elective course, students study various components of the stage, such as pantomime, improvisation, character development, the actor's voice, blocking, staging, scenery and script writing. Each concept mastered will result in an evaluated performance based assessment.
This class allows students to apply these new stage concepts either by stage acting, working on technical aspects, or stage management. This course relies heavily on the imaginations of the students, encouraging creativity and individuality.
Students are graded in terms of the following assessments:
Daily Warm-ups/Quizzes 25%
Activities/Projects 25%
Classroom Participation/Audience Etiquette 25%
Tests 25%
